Thank You For Your Service looks to capture the struggle of returning troops

Thank You For Your Service

Universal Pictures released today a trailer for the film Thank You For Your Service. Inspired by true events, the film follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to integrate back into family and civilian life, while living with the memory of a war that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield.

Jason Hall, who wrote the screenplay of American Sniper, is making his directorial debut with Thank You for Your Service and also serves as its screenwriter. And if this trailer is anything to go by, this is going to be an emotional film.

Thank You For Your Service is in theaters on October 27.
